Get Down on the Floor (then get back up!)

I am offering 15-minute bonus coaching sessions after many classes ( I will announce each week): I will teach you how to get down on the floor, safely and easily, and then get back up--- and fairly gracefully, too. Think back to when you were a little kid, playing on the floor, or lying on the grass, staring up at the clouds in the sky. Remember how good that felt? Who couldn’t use a little more playfulness and relaxation these days? We’re going to incorporate some of that good feeling into our Qigong classes.

In Qigong, the earth energy is considered yin. It grounds and stabilizes us, allowing us to rest, relax, and heal. That’s one reason why I am beginning to include a few Tao Yin floor stretches into our classes. Feedback from last week’s bonus sessions was really positive, but I wonder how many people are afraid or reluctant to get down on the floor? Maybe getting back up is the concern? Here’s the good news: it’s not hard to do, once you know the technique. Please join us. Meanwhile, write and let me know your thoughts and concerns, or post them below and start a conversation. It’s an interesting topic, and doesn’t have to be a scary one.
