Breathe The Breath of Nature

Happy May, everyone! The beauty of nature blooming back into life allows us many opportunities to feel and enjoy the energy of all five elements, as described in Qigong: inspiration (metal), calm (water), abundance (wood), joy and gratitude (fire), and groundedness (earth). Now that the weather is warming up, give yourself a treat: go outside to practice. Stand near a tree or garden, and “breathe the breath of nature”.  Feel your connection to the universe. We’re made of the same atoms and molecules after all, we and the hyacinths and crabapples and bumblebees. Don’t worry if you can’t remember the exercises; just breathe, go with the flow, and enjoy.
