Take a vacation from stress.

Summer, according to Five Element Qigong, is associated with the energy of our hearts; our feelings of love, compassion, joy, and laughter. That loving, happy place might feel hard to reach at times, especially after being cooped up for too long, or reading and watching the news. This week we’ll practice ways to clear out stress and nourish the deep, peaceful, loving strength that’s in our hearts, underneath all the aggravation and worry.

Every time we do Qigong, we take a vacation from turbulence and tension. Its relaxing, invigorating movements renew our energy and peace of mind. This, in turn, gives us the resources we need in order to take on the challenges of life. There are some side effects to all this: you may experience clearer thinking, stronger immunities, less pain, more flexibility, and a much better disposition.
