Stimulate Your Appetite to Move

My wonderful student and friend Miriam Weber, aged 94 at the time, once told me her secret to staying motivated to exercise each day. “Honey, you’ve got to CULTIVATE the motivation!”


Two years ago, my Lovely and Talented Assistant Larry and I began shooting “Exercise Hor’s D’oeuvres” videos. My hope was, like an appetizer to a good meal, these short videos would stimulate your appetite to move. The first one was shot on the Appalachian Trail in Vermont. We had met a lot of through hikers on the trail that summer and I always asked them “How the heck do you DO this? And do you stretch?”  Most of them sheepishly told me they didn’t stretch enough. So, we shot a short video, right there on the trail. It’s called “Qigong Stretch for Back, Shoulders, and Hips”.  If you scroll through the newly reorganized-so-you-can-find-them-more-easily instructional videos on my website you will see it, all the way at the bottom.
