Breathe in energy
Recently, I hiked to the top of Day Mountain, in Acadia National Park, Maine. It was so beautiful! The air, the sea, the scent of pine…I just had to do some Qigong. The spot was ideal to feel the tremendous healing power of nature flowing in and through me.
Whether you are new to Qigong or an experienced practitioner, whether in a national park or Central Park, during these glorious spring days I urge you to step outside, perhaps under a favorite tree, or near a garden, and do some energy cultivation. Breathe in the sweet, June air. Feel the solidity of the Earth under your feet. Know that you are part of nature. Let go of whatever is weighing on your heart; let it drain down into the cool earth. Breathe in the “breath of trees”, allowing it to heal and soothe you. Even a few moments of mindfulness and connection will bring immediate and wonderful benefits.
