Moving the Qi
Hi Friends!
Illness is a good teacher. This past week reminded me of the importance of accepting when my system is feeling taxed, and the power in not becoming fearful, not even when that second line appeared on the COVID test. After resting (and resting and resting) for almost a week, I now feel ready to move some qi. This week I’ll share with you some gentle healing practices we can do to get and stay healthy, even if when feeling under the weather.
It’s a comfort to remember there is infinite healing energy out there, and also within us, even when ill. To remind myself of that, I found it helpful to go outside once in a while last week to “breathe the breath of trees” and feel the sun on my face. That’s one powerful healing practice, and I’ll show you some others tomorrow, including a beautiful new metal element exercise for expelling toxic qi and bringing positive, healing light to the lungs.
Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement to take my time healing. It was a big comfort and I truly appreciate each and every note. Our group energy is mighty!
Qigong for Gardeners at Innisfree, Saturday October 8, 2-3. Remember to pre-register for this fabulous free (for Dutchess County residents) event. Please go to innisfreegarden.org to get on the list. I just learned that the garden is supplying a large, open tent for this event, so we don’t have to be concerned about rain! This is our last live event at the garden this year and I hope you can be there.
